Microenterprise Business Assistance Program
The Microenterprise Business Assistance Program provides low-interest loans and training for small businesses in Mariposa County. The loans of up to $25,000 are may be used for:
- operating capital to pay staff and lease space, or purchase inventory;
- acquiring furniture, fixtures, equipment (FF&E) and tools ;
- advertising/marketing;
- printing, designing of marketing materials and advertising;
- purchasing manufacturing equipment (with or without installation costs);
- paying down a portion of existing business debt when provided in conjunction with financing other eligible costs;
- purchasing supplies and raw materials;
- purchasing vehicles, trucks, trailer and small vans used primarily in the business;
- purchasing computers and software; and/or
- working capital.
This program is offered to Mariposa County residents only, and applicants must meet certain income criteria to be eligible. Referrals to other sources of loan funding are also available.
